Charlie Allen is an immensely talented young pianist, combining his love of jazz and blues music with an explosive and spontaneous performance style. He has played trombone, piano and sung with jazz orchestras in venues such as the renowned Old Duke in Bristol, where he has performed with the legendary Cas Caswell and Eddie Martin.
This evening, Charlie will perform a mixture of standard Jazz piano tunes and some improvised pieces.
The critically-acclaimed Steinbrüchel Duo's extensive collaborative work has helped them to create a distinctively intimate and moving sound. The Duo (Delphine Hensler on piano and Frédéric Steinbrüchel on cello) combine to create rich musical landscapes that have thrilled audiences in concert halls throughout the world.
The Duo’s repertoire will include performances of classics by Dvorak, Rachmaninov and Schumann alongside music by contemporary composers such as Shchredin.
