Anna Lamplough - Saxophonist

Anna is an established Saxophonist.
She graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music and the University of Huddersfield, studying under Tim Redpath, Mike Hall, Sarah Markham, Richard Ingham, John Harle, James Fieldhouse, Rob Buckland and Andy Scott.


Over the years she has played in numerous concert halls and has performed and recorded as a soloist and as part of an ensemble in various Big Bands, Symphonic Wind Ensembles, Duos, Orchestras, and new music ensembles.

She is also a member of the EVOKE saxophone quartet based at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. The quartet have been recognised as being "One of the best quartets to emerge from the Royal Northern College of Music" (Catmose gallery) The quartet's activity involves playing standard items of the classical repertoire and approaching new and exciting compositions written by composers such as Lucy Pankhurst and Laura Bowler. Projects have included working on the Anthony Turnage festival, The Arden Dance School, Recording for ASTUTE Publications, and working alongside the northern ballet school and composers from the RNCM.

Anna's repertoire ranges from contemporary and classical to jazz and easy listening. She has played in various musicals including 42nd street, Crazy For You, Wizard of Oz, Guys and Dolls, Westside story, My Fair Lady, Honk, Oklahoma, Full Monty, Fame! Sweet Charity, Thoroughly modern millie, Merrily we Roll Along, Me and my Girl and Pyjama Game.
