Alexandra Tiffin - Mezzo Soprano
Alexandra was born in Liverpool. She was a member of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain and then trained at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music. Whilst at RAM she took part in masterclasses with Gillian Knight and Robert Tear. Her operatic roles have included Gertrude in Hamlet, Bradamante in Alcina, Olga in Eugene Onegin and Cornelia in Giulio Cesare. She was also commended in the Blyth Operatic Prize and received a Distinction for her Postgraduate Diploma in Performance.
Alexandra has also sung professionally, which has included Alto solos in the Messiah (Handel), Bach Magnificat, Mozart Requiem and Mendelssohn's Lobgesang. Other operatic roles include Dorabella in Cosi Fan Tutte (Heritage Opera), Rosina in Il Barbiere Di Siviglia and Third Lady in Die Zauberflote (Dartington Opera), Solo Wife in Offenbach's Bluebeard and Second Witch in Dido and Aeneas for Grange Park Opera. Future plans include chorus in Nabucco for ReisOpera and the title role in Rossini's Cenerentola for TellTale Opera.
